In 2022, I was asked to create a logo for a new landscaping business. The client was open to ideas but wanted to see at least one concept showing an acorn sprouting. Below is the finalized logo as well as the progression of creative from initial concepts. The acorn design was a hit!
For the initial concepts I wanted to give the client some options showing their requested idea as well as some alternative imagery. The business is very people oriented and as the company name has "Us" in it I wanted to show a concept with hands to indicate welcoming while also tying into the nature theme by using a mirrored leaf image. Some of my concepts use root imagery to show the growth of a plant from the beginning stages.
After the inital concept stage the client chose 2 designs to develop further as shown below. Here I refined the designs and updated with several typographic options and colour ways.
Finally below is the final concept phase. The client chose the first concept with their initial acorn idea and the logo was complete.
